THANK YOU FOR OUR HISTORIC WIN!

We are thrilled to share that, based on the latest count, it is safe to predict that we have won the
Santa Rosa City Council, District 5 race!

Sitting at 60.53% of the vote and over half of the district’s ballots counted, our hard work and your support have brought this victory home.

This is truly a historic moment. After a long and competitive campaign season, Caroline Bañuelos will become the first self-identified Latina to serve on Santa Rosa’s City Council—an achievement made possible by a community that values representation, equity, and progress.

While we celebrate this success, our journey doesn’t end here. To help continue the work and lay the foundation for a thriving, inclusive community, please consider a contribution.

Thank you for your incredible support, dedication, and belief in this campaign. Because of you, we’ve secured a victory that will make a difference.

In Unity,
Caroline Bañuelos

Bridging Gaps and Building Community

One of the most amazing aspects of our district is the people. From the West End Neighborhood to the Burbank Gardens Neighborhood Association and everything in between, our community is actively involved, vibrant, and inspiring.

Building a Stronger Santa Rosa, Together.

As someone who has called Sonoma County home for over 30 years, mostly right here in Santa Rosa, I’ve been fortunate to live in District 5 for the past decade. Our district is defined by the people who live here—engaged, creative, and dedicated to making our community the best it can be.

Through various roles—like serving on the Santa Rosa Junior College Board to help prepare our workforce for the future, contributing as a former Santa Rosa Planning Commissioner, and participating in the Board of Community Services and the first Community Advisory Board (CAB)—I’ve shaped a deeper understanding of how our city functions and how we can collaborate effectively.

I believe in a Santa Rosa where everyone, especially those with lower incomes, has access to safe and affordable housing, where homelessness is addressed with compassionate and effective solutions, where communication between the city and its residents is open and transparent, and where we are committed to fostering a healthy economy that sustains and protects our environment for future generations. As we look to the future, we can work together to address these key priorities while protecting what makes District 5 such a great place to call home.

I would be honored to represent the residents of District 5.

I respectfully ask for our vote.

Thank you,

Caroline
